to be lazy in the middle of the afternoon, i miss this with such guilt.
processionary times, we wait for two days tucked neatly together. these days could be anything, they could be the best i've ever had. bed and food and drink, and maybe tonight cold air in my lungs. let's roll in the sheets, roll in the leaves, drop the ice cubes down and drink full. simplicity comes naturally, if you let it.

hot water heat

iceland part 10: blue lagoon via krisatomic

how nice are these photographs of the lava field and geothermal spa in Grindavik. icy combo of warm and cool, as waters thin and hot steam rises over hard stone and board. to lay face down in that water, floating in murky white.
i remember the sulphur pools in bulgaria, but that was a dry heat, yellow and golds and greens. bathing in sunflower fields, the grasses folding and swaying, i'm looking up at the sky now. the water rushed from the pipes, i held my body underneath until my skin burned from the heat. and that night i slept better than i ever had before.

icy skies and ivory skin, speckled pinks and browns, and can't you just feel the straw underfoot.

oh how i love that poncho.. dusty warmth and desert days. okay so it's spring, 16C today, freckles commence.
lately i have been growing mint (for future mojitos of course), re-reading JSF's eating animals, and cooking rhubarb. keep this sunshine coming.

hints of warmth, this dusklight, it reminds of my daily skies here. in england the sun low, never quite reaching up and out. with a surprise sunset thrown in.
and despite the birds alive at 5am, and mossy green sidestreets, my february is feeling fall-ish. but nice.
